Problem with ubuntu in my Lemote, config.cfg

Hello
I have a big problem,i need help
I put the HDD of my Lemote Yeeloong 8089_C  in my "desktop pc" for format and install
"linux Ubuntu 8.04.1" (in this moment, i don't have pendrive).
I Did format of my hdd, and i create one partition of 160 gb (BIG
ERROR), ok in this step all is all right, i finished my instalattion of
Ubuntu and Uubuntu is tarted on my Desktop, when i put of hdd onmy
lemote, DOESN'T WORK!!! :'(

This is the error:

The boot.cfg not existed!System will try default entry from al.

Ok, i think that my problem is in the set of al, karg and rd , but i
dont know how can put correctly in the PMON.
When i put the hdd in my desktop i put in the terminal this: sudo gedit
/boot/grub/menu.lst
For try recognize teh path correctly for the PMON, but nothing or i
don't know how work it.
The "menu.lst" in my desktop machine with the hdd of lemote and ubuntu installed is here:
